What You Will Do:

This structured transformational retreat is designed to guide you through deep personal growth while immersing you in the natural beauty of the Swiss Alps. Each day begins with morning yoga, breathwork, or meditation. You’ll engage in daily breakfast discussions, where we explore key themes related to reprogramming limiting beliefs and gain insights from expert-led talks.


Throughout the retreat, you’ll be part of a small group Pod, a supportive team that fosters connection, reflection, and accountability. You'll have free time throughout the day to relax, take in the stunning surroundings, or explore nearby hiking trails and the charming Swiss village. In the afternoons, you'll take part in guided activities that put your learnings into practice, including interactive exercises, self-reflection sessions, and group experiences designed to help you integrate new perspectives into your life. Evenings also offer time to unwind with sauna, hot tub, and cold bath therapy.


What You Will Learn:

As part of the retreat programming, you'll engage in talks—guided learning experiences that explore the intricacies of the mind-body connection through expert insights and practical teachings. These are complemented by interactive sessions, where you'll actively apply what you've learned through group exercises and hands-on activities designed to deepen your personal transformation. In our training, we explore the following:

  • Understanding Yourself: Discover how your thoughts and behaviors are shaped by your experiences.

  • Reprogramming Limiting Beliefs: Learn our unique technique to reshape your thought patterns and habits for a more fulfilling life.

  • Hands-on Exercises: Participate in interactive activities including exercises and group sessions.



About the Talks and Sessions:

Over the 6 days, you'll experience transformative Expere talks and sessions, each thoughtfully designed to build upon the insights and foundations of the previous one. These immersive learning experiences will deepen your understanding of mind and body conditioning, while the complementary sessions offer engaging group practices and activities to help you embody new skills, fostering greater awareness, resilience, and empowerment throughout your personal transformation journey.


Talks and Sessions (in order):

  1. Our Conditioning: We will explore the mind-body connection and examine how the subconscious (autonomic nervous system) influences both our psychological and somatic experiences. Participants will engage in a group exercise to experience and understand their subconscious conditioning.

  2. Our Resistance: We delve deeper into our conditioning and learn about our resistances, identifying and addressing the fears, uncertainties, doubts, and limiting beliefs. Participants will engage in a group exercise to activate and explore deeply held fears and beliefs.

  3. Our Intentions: We will explore fundamental principles of reprogramming limiting beliefs and transforming our mind, body, and reality. Participants will engage in group exercises to discuss and visualize their intentions.

  4. Our Integration: We’ve highlighted our intentions, experienced our conditioning, and activated our resistances; now it’s time to reprogram our mind and body to create a new reality. The real work of personal transformation happens during our integration process.

The 4-day retreat (Thursday–Sunday) offers the perfect opportunity to unwind, ground yourself in the peaceful mountain surroundings, and settle into the retreat center before transitioning into the more immersive and intensive 6-day retreat (Monday–Saturday). This extended experience allows for deeper relaxation, reflection, and personal growth, giving you the time and space to fully recharge and reconnect.

The Team Behind This Retreat:

Graeme Raymond: Graeme's exploration of mind and consciousness began in his teenage years when he first discovered meditation. He further expanded his knowledge at Queen's University, Canada, where he studied Philosophy and Theology, graduating in 2011. Today, as the Founder and Lead Facilitator at Expere, Graeme has made it his life's mission to assist individuals in connecting their mind, body, and soul to unlock their highest potential.

Pascalle van Haaften: Pascalle is a seasoned yoga teacher specializing in Vinyasa & Strong flow, Yin, meditation, and Ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle practices. Through her dedication to continuous learning and exploration, Pascalle has honed her skills in creating transformative and holistic yoga experiences that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, her studies in Ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle have enabled her to offer comprehensive guidance on holistic well-being, empowering individuals to cultivate health and harmony in their lives.

Katrine Breidahl: Katrine is a professionally trained psychotherapist associated with the Sisifos Center in Copenhagen. She studied under the Greek philosopher and psychologist, Panos Charbis, known for his extensive work with depression and late-modern dual symptoms. Katrine is well-versed in (meta)cognitive therapy, but her primary focus is in psychoanalysis and psychosynthesis. This therapeutic approach aims to integrate the body, mind, and the mechanisms of personality, often referred to as the 'soul'.

Michele Casale: Michele (affectionately goes by Mick) is the owner and manager of the Kurhaus Retreat Center. Native to the area, he has made it his life's mission to empower people to co-grow in the beautiful Swiss mountains. Surrounded by nature, the Kurhaus is deeply connected to environment around, allowing all who attend the Kurhaus to calm their mind, to grow, and to find oneself.

Retreat Venue:

The Kurhaus Retreat Center, located in the serene municipality of Praden, offers an authentic Alpine sanctuary where tradition meets transformation. With over 120 years of history, this remarkable retreat has long been a place of healing. Decades ago, doctors would send patients here, especially those battling terminal illnesses and cancer, to find solace and renewal in the pristine mountain air and serene surroundings.


Known for its stunning mountain views, Praden remains deeply rooted in traditional Swiss culture, thanks to strict local development restrictions that protect its heritage and close-knit community atmosphere.


​The Kurhaus itself is a 4-story chalet that features a spacious yoga shala, dining hall, quiet community lounge, and shared bedrooms on the upper floors. Guests can unwind in the outdoor hot tub, saunas, and cold baths, and enjoy easy access to numerous hiking trails within walking distance or a short bus ride away.



Accommodations:

  • We welcome you to Kurhaus on Monday, any time after 11:00. We kindly ask that you do your best to arrive on Monday before 15.00, as we will be starting our orientation that afternoon. If you are arriving late in the night, please let us know so we can prepare for your welcome. 

  • Bedrooms consist of single beds and bunk beds arranged in private, shared, or dormitory-style setups (prices vary by room type). If you are attending with one or more people you'd like to share a room with, please let us know when you complete the registration, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

  • The bathrooms and showers are shared and co-ed.

  • Given the amount of activity throughout the day, and the likelihood of some retreat participants going to bed early, we ask that we keep the noise level low after 21:30.



Food:

  • The registration price includes all program costs, as well as the costs for meals and accommodations for the entire duration of the retreat.

  • All meals are home-cooked, vegetarian, locally sourced, and delicious! :)

  • There will also be snacks, tea and coffee offered throughout the day, and we will have both dairy and plant-based options. 

  • This retreat is centered around connecting with the mind and body to become more sensitive to the exchange of information between the two. To ensure an undistracted and harmonious group dynamic, we kindly request that you refrain from consuming any psychoactive or mind-altering substances, including alcohol, during the retreat.
